SIF was founded in 1948 and is among the largest steel tubular manufacturers for offshore foundations for wind farms and oil & gas platforms. SIF wants to raise the working safety level of working. SIF will use a customized WPS setup with workpermits in combination with TRA and LOTO.

Spotlight: Changes to work permit

In WPS, there has recently been the possibility for an Issuer to indicate in his profile a notification e-mail when a work permit he submitted the request for is provided.

In addition, there will soon be a possibility in WPS to provide an overview in this notification of the differences in risks and measures between the Work Permit as it is immediately after supmitting an Request and the Work Permit as provided.

From the field: Employer must inform and instruct about safe working

In most countries an employer must inform employees about the risks that work can entail. He must provide them with good information and ensure that they receive clear instructions about working safely. How he furnishes this is not legally established. Read more.
